Mrs. Witt

“Mrs. Witt is what I like to call one of a kind. She is a teacher like no other. She filled Mrs. Kramer’s classroom after she retired and on our first day together in class I’d say I made quite the first impression. Mrs. Witt really changed my whole perspective on learning. I’m sure she doesn’t even know how cool she is, or how cool her students think she is but we all think she’s quite the educator. From her humor to her not taking crap from anyone makes class so memorable. I’m thankful for how she pushed me to push myself. Not only in English class did she make an impact on me. When I would talk to her she just seemed like she truly cared about me and was interested in what I was saying. I would talk to her about my personal life and she was in the moment and it’s nice to have a conversation like that with a teacher who gets it. She deserves all of the appreciation in the world in my opinion. She came to NAI like a boss and started teaching like she has been there since day 1. She didn’t baby me nor did she hold my hand, which taught me to have some responsibility in the work that I do. I’m so beyond thankful for the little moments we had together in class and I will miss her way more than just any other teacher.”
