- This is the sequel to 21 Savage and Metro Boomin’s 2016 “Savage Mode”, arguably the greatest collaborative rapper-producer project of the last decade. This is Metro’s official return after almost two years of near-silence, and most notably, 21’s first release since he was unjustly detained and threatened with deportation by ICE. “SAVAGE MODE II” made its way atop the Billboard 200 chart, earning 171,000 equivalent album units in the US in the week ending October 8, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
