In May, the Toronto rapper’s surprise announcement of a mixtape he has been reportedly working on for only a month. Debuting at #2 on the Billboard’s top 200, the tape features many hits like “Toosie Slide”, “Chicago Freestyle”, and “Time Flies”. It also included “Pain 1993”, featuring Playboi Carti which was long-awaited after hearing snippets in early February. Drizzy made sure to include features like Future, Chris Brown, and Fivio Foreign, all artists who experienced a successful 2020 as well. Shortly after he teased that his 6th Studio album “Certified Lover Boy” would drop in summer 2020, the date was delayed to 2021. Not only did Drake hold his position in the Billboards Top 10 Artists for another year, he saw success in another viral hit with “Laugh Now, Cry Later”.
