Mrs. Lavelle

“Mrs. Lavelle is always so patient! “Gentle but firm” is the phrase that comes to mind. I’ve only ever heard her raise her voice once, and that was out of annoyance more than actual anger. I aspire to have her level of calm one day. I also think she’s done a really nice job of setting up orchestra classes in a way where it’s flexible (so even if we go fully remote or fully in-person, plans can be adjusted easily) and everyone, whether they’re at home or in school, can be engaged in the lesson. Oh, and she likes musicals. This is obviously the most important part. Thank you, Mrs. Lavelle!”
