Dana Pitell is back with another BIY video. She demonstrates how to do a fishtail braid. Fishtail braids go way back to Ancient Greece. They were seen on sculpted female figures known as caryatids. Caryatid is derived from the Greek word karyatides, meaning “maidens of Karyai”. Caryatids served as architectural supports to replace columns or pillars.
