Forcing Laughter, Faking Smiles

Since Taylor Swift’s Eras tour started on March 17, in Glendale/Swift City Arizona, those who are attending the concert have been posting all over social media how excited they are to see Taylor perform, but we need to address the Swities who didn’t get tickets.

For the Swifties who didn’t get tickets, all this posting on social media about people going to The Eras tour is driving them crazy, leaving them to cry themselves to sleep every night in jealousy. I am unfortunately a fan who didn’t get tickets, and seeing all these people posting about going to the concert has left me devastated and feeling sorry for myself.

It has started to affect my daily life such as going to school, doing my homework, and taking care of myself, which now feel like chores. Every time I go to entertain myself with social media the only thing that I see are posts about The Eras tour and it’s killing me to see these posts and have the constant reminder that i’m not going to the biggest tour in Taylor’s career.

It’s gotten to the point where it feels like nothing matters to me anymore. I sit for hours wondering to myself what’s the point of anything if I’m not going to the concert. Dare I say it has me contemplating my life and if it’s worth it to keep going. (I’m exaggerating, of course, but only slightly.)

This is  the Taylor Swift tour of a lifetime, which is why all of us who didn’t get tickets are struggling to live life knowing we’re not going to see Taylor perform all of her musical eras.

I am speaking on behalf of all of the Swifties who didn’t get tickets. We are happy for the people who got tickets and got the chance of a lifetime to see Taylor perform all of her musical eras. With that being said we also feel like there’s a hole in our hearts knowing once again that we are not going.

Now that we’ve addressed the elephant in the room, we also have to address the Swifties outside of the U.S.  Swifties in the U.S who didn’t get tickets at least had the chance to try and get tickets. Swifties outside of the U.S didn’t even have the chance to try and get tickets because Taylor is not performing outside of the U.S. So for the Swifties inside the U.S who didn’t get tickets, we are not the only ones feeling broken-hearted.
