These Christmas albums make the holidays even more special!

Disclaimer: this list is solely opinion based! Also, the list is just albums, so if you don’t see your favorite Christmas song on here that’s why, it’s just albums!

I’m very sorry that Ariana Grande’s “Santa Tell Me” and Gayla Peevey’s “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” did not make the list, but it’s just an album list! Please don’t kill me! Without further ado, here are the top five Christmas albums to listen to. These were graded by the most merry these albums make me feel and all the nostalgia each album gives me.

5. Merry Christmas by Mariah Carey
Many are probably wondering how this is at the very bottom of the list, well I have an answer for you. The album is mediocre at best, with the only two well known hits being “All I Want for Christmas is You” and “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).” Other than those two songs, the album is kind of forgettable. Sure, Mariah is known as the Christmas Queen, but only because “All I Want for Christmas is You” makes millions of dollars each Christmas. It is the most recognizable and probably best Christmas song, but it is not the best album. Sorry Mariah Carey fans, but this album is fifth.

4. A Charlie Brown Christmas by Vince Guaraldi Trio
You can’t get through Christmas time without listening to some of these songs. “Linus and Lucy” is a bop and immediately makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. This album provides so much positive energy and any Christmas party. It is probably one of the best to just have playing in the background because anybody will know the songs. It’s Charlie Brown! He is so recognizable and nostalgic to everyone. Making it the fourth best Christmas album to listen to.

3. That’s Christmas to Me by Pentatonix
Pentatonix is the best band you can listen to at Christmas time. The harmonies they perform are breathtaking. Each song is equally as amazing as the other. The best song on this album may be “Mary, Did You Know?” The pain and grace put into that song is just impeccable. It fills Christmas time with so much emotion. You can’t have a Christmas without Pentatonix; it’s just facts.

2. The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection by Taylor Swift
The shortest album on this list, coming in at just about 20 minutes, with 6 songs on the album. It may be short, but it is amazing. Unfortunately, it does not have “Christmas Tree Farm” on it because this album was released in 2007, and “Christmas Tree Farm” is a fairly new song. However, this album does not disappoint. Listening to Taylor sing “Last Christmas” is amazing. You can truly scream the song along with her. The songs she chose to sing for this album are amazing, and she adds her own voice to each of them. Plus it’s not Taylor’s Version (which sucks), but it’s baby Taylor, and her country twang is priceless. Taylor Swift never disappoints, and this album is proof.

1. You Make it Feel Like Christmas (Deluxe Edition) by Gwen Stefani
Hands down the best Christmas album you can ever listen to. Gwen sings a mix of her own songs and classic Christmas songs. She adds so much to the holiday spirit. Songs like “You Make it Feel Like Christmas” and “Under the Christmas Lights” are impeccable. She knows what she’s doing when it comes to producing an album. The album is 19 songs long, which makes it the longest album on this list. This is definitely an album to have on when you wrap presents or open them. Gwen Stefani has her own unique and equally beautiful voice, and when paired with Blake Shelton it gets even better. Especially when it’s a Christmas love song. Together they sing “You Make it Feel Like Christmas,” and you can hear the chemistry between them through the song. The love they share for each other is present in the song, and it is beautiful. Each song in this album is unique and impressive, and it makes it the best listen.

So there you have it, the top 5 Christmas listens. Please don’t come after me, I know Mariah is 5th, but she deserves it. It’s just my opinion, and a silly list. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
