Coscto and Sam’s Club in the fight for more customers

There’s Apple vs. Samsung, Coke vs. Pepsi, McDonalds vs. Burger King, American Eagle vs. Forever 21, UPS vs. FedEx, Dunkin’ Donuts vs. Starbucks, and many other business rivalries. But what about Costco vs. Sam’s Club?

There are many different opinions in NAI regarding which grocery store is better than the other. NAEye got 64 opinions on which store they think dominates the other.

Out of the 64 responses, 54% prefer Costco over Sam’s Club. Some said they enjoy this store because of the better variety of goods and produce, and they offer good pricing, specifically on their bulk items. Some students said they enjoy the taste and the wide variety of free samples at Costco.

When it comes to Sam’s Club, only 38% prefers this grocery store. Many students also enjoy Sam’s Club’s free samples: specifically free samples of sushi, some say. One student said that Costco is a “zoo” and has “weird” people working for the company.

Some students prefer one store over another solely because of location, or because they have never been to one of the stores.

There are 10 additional responses from students below. From NAI’s prospective, Sam’s Club obviously has been overcome by their rival, Costco.
